CENTCOM: Flight operations on CVN 78 continue day and night
Washington, April 23 (Hibya) – The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) released an update on the operational activities of the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) in the Red Sea.
According to the statement, the Ford Carrier Strike Group continues its presence in the region within the area of responsibility of the U.S. 5th Fleet to ensure maritime security.
It was emphasized that flight operations aboard the vessel continue uninterrupted day and night, with the following details provided regarding the mission in the Red Sea:
“Flight operations continue day and night aboard the world’s largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78). The Ford Carrier Strike Group continues its activities in the Red Sea to support maritime security within the U.S. 5th Fleet.”
