Anand: Canada is working with global partners to deliver aid to the people of Lebanon
Ottawa, April 23 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand provided information on international aid operations aimed at addressing the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon and Canada’s contributions to this process.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand emphasized that Canada’s financial commitments will be effectively utilized on the ground to meet basic needs such as food security and shelter.
Evaluating the ongoing efforts, Anand said, “Canada is working with global partners to deliver urgent aid to the people of Lebanon. The Jordan-led humanitarian air bridge will deliver much-needed food packages and tents to communities in need.”
Providing information on the continuity and scope of the aid, Anand added, “This initiative will continue to cooperate with international partners, building on Canada’s recent commitment of $37.7 million for life-saving humanitarian assistance.”
