Zelensky announces he held a staff meeting
Kyiv, March 9 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that after assessing the effects of the war in Iran on global markets and regional security, Ukraine is ready to respond positively to 11 countries that have requested support regarding drones and defense systems.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a staff meeting focusing on the instability caused by the war in Iran and its global effects.
During the meeting, reports from the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, intelligence chiefs, and relevant ministries were analyzed.
Stating that developments in Iran directly affect the security of Europe and Ukraine, Zelensky said: "We analyzed the main perspectives of this war in Iran and the possible consequences if it continues. We also examined in detail the requests from states for security support from us in countering 'Shahed' drones and other similar threats."
Referring to international requests for Ukraine's defense experience, Zelensky said: "As of now, there are 11 requests from countries neighboring Iran, from European countries, and from the United States. There is clear interest in Ukraine's experience in protecting lives, related prevention systems, electronic warfare systems, and training."
Emphasizing that Ukraine is open to cooperation, Zelensky stated: "Ukraine is ready to respond positively to the requests of those who help us protect the lives of Ukrainians and Ukraine's independence. Some requests have already been met with concrete decisions and special support."
