Tsahkna: Estonia does not leave its people alone
Tallinn, March 8 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna announced that the evacuation of 1,084 people from the region was successfully completed after seven special flights carried out via Dubai.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna shared the results of the evacuation operation launched following rising tensions in the Middle East.
Providing information about the number and profile of those evacuated, Tsahkna said: “Today, the last two of Estonia’s seven special flights departed from Dubai, rescuing our people from a very complex situation and bringing them safely back home.”
Tsahkna added: “In total, 1,084 people—including Estonian citizens, family members and EU citizens, as well as babies—were brought back from the region to their countries.”
Emphasizing the Estonian state’s commitment to its citizens, Tsahkna stated: “Estonia does not leave its people alone.”
