Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will attend the ministerial meeting on Jerusalem, scheduled to be held in Amman, the capital of Jordan, on August 5, 2026.

The visit will take place at the invitation of Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

The ministry said the meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of Arab League countries and several Islamic countries, including Pakistan. The talks are intended to develop a common position on the deteriorating situation in occupied Jerusalem.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Dar is also expected to be received by Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein during the visit.

Dar will also hold bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the meeting. The discussions will cover regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue, as well as matters of mutual cooperation.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that participation in the Jerusalem meeting reflects the country's support for the Palestinian people and its position in favor of establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
