Consultation process continues for Qatar's National Human Rights Action Plan
Doha, June 7 (Hibya) - Consultation meetings at the Public Prosecution level continue in Qatar as part of the 2026–2030 National Human Rights Action Plan.
According to a statement issued by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, consultation sessions conducted within the framework of the 2026–2030 National Human Rights Action Plan continued in Doha.
The consultation session was hosted by the Public Prosecution and attended by Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad.
Discussions focused on the Public Prosecution's areas of jurisdiction, human rights policies, and alignment with international practices.
Participants emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation mechanisms among relevant national institutions, noting that Qatar's collaborative approach to developing and implementing national strategies strengthens institutional cooperation in the promotion and protection of human rights.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants reaffirmed that the National Human Rights Action Plan provides a comprehensive national framework for the promotion and protection of human rights.
They also highlighted the Public Prosecution's role as a key partner and integral component of national efforts aimed at advancing the human rights system, thereby contributing to the further strengthening of the principles of the rule of law and justice in the State of Qatar.
