Zelensky to be at Downing Street today for high-level Ukraine talks
Stockholm, December 8 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet key European leaders in London on Monday as Ukraine’s allies discuss how to respond to continued US pressure on Kyiv to make concessions in peace negotiations.
The leaders of France and Germany will gather at 10 Downing Street together with Zelensky and the UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, aiming to ensure that any agreement prevents a future Russian attack.
The high-level meeting follows three days of talks in Florida, where Zelensky’s chief negotiator pushed for changes to a White House plan that is believed to meet central Kremlin demands.
The US and Ukraine said progress had been made, but on Sunday US President Donald Trump criticised Zelensky, saying he had “not read” the draft.
