UK Prime Minister Starmer stated: “President Trump’s efforts have brought us closer than ever to ending Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine.” He stressed that his leadership in ending the massacre should be recognized, and added:

“Although progress has been made, the next step should be more meetings involving President Zelensky. The path to peace in Ukraine cannot be determined without his participation. This morning, I spoke with President Zelensky, President Trump, and other European partners, and we are all ready to support this new stage.”

“I welcome the United States’ willingness, together with Europe, to provide Ukraine with strong security guarantees as part of any agreement. This is important for progress and will play a critical role in deterring Putin from attacking again.”
